LaCie annuncia LaCie Rugged Safe, l’hard disk portatile più sicuro sul mercato, che offre diversi livelli di protezione dei dati. LaCie Rugged Safe dispone della crittografia hardware AES a 128bit, della più sicura tecnologia di autenticazione biometrica e di un casing resistente agli urti.

Progettato per le persone sempre in movimento, LaCie Rugged Safe è alimentato dal bus USB o FireWire ed è compatibile con Mac e PC. Mentre altri prodotti di sicurezza richiedono l’installazione di un software su tutte le workstation a cui vengono collegati, LaCie Rugged Safe è invece dotato della modalità plug & play. Una volta configurato, l’utente può accedere ai propri dati archiviati nell'unità da qualsiasi computer con un semplice dito passaggio dell’impronta digitale.

LaCie Rugged Safe è molto più di una soluzione di livello superiore per chi lavora "on the go".
